Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry of Kipling Avenue Baptist Church is for children 3-12, Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

During Worship service, the children are dismissed after Children’s Time/Prayer for Junior Church wherein they are gathered together in the Chapel.

Activities during the Junior Church time include singing, bible verse recitation, devotional message, offering and prayer. Then, the children are divided into three classes.

The children’s program consists of a story time, craft activities, and a light refreshment. The children give special presentation in front of the congregation during Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Recognition Day.

The children often attend camps either at the church or up in Muskoka.

Nursery is available for parents with newborns who would like to use the facilities.

Youth Ministry

The KABC youth are a group of young people who are passionate about their faith and growing in their faith.

They meet every Friday at 7:00 PM to 9:15 PM for a Bible Study. Every month,  along with Bible Study they have a special event such as a night bowling, movie night, mini-golfing, go carting, and games night. There are many more plans in the making and any young person would enjoy taking part in this growing group.

The youth are also involved in the Praise and Worship ministry of the church. Every fifth Sunday of the month, the young people will lead the worship service which is the “Youth Sunday”.

To find out what the group is doing: listen for announcements, check your bulletins, or check this site under events.

Ladies Breakfast Ministry

July 14, 2001 saw the birth of the Ladies Ministry at Kipling Avenue Baptist Church. Since then, every Spring, Fall and Winter, breakfast meetings are held. Attendance ranges from 40 – 75, depending on the topic and speaker. To date, we have not had to cancel one breakfast due to weather. We did have to cancel one because of conflicts of a funeral that was arranged on the same day.

The main thrust of this Ministry is Evangelism and reaching out to the unchurched. It is working as many persons have passed through the doors of Kipling Avenue Baptist Church who have never been there.

In the summer, a bus trip is arranged to help foster a time of fellowshipping outside the walls of the Church. The trip is divided between the United States and Ontario.

We give God all the thanks and praise that He has allowed to carry on this vital Ministry in the Church

Outreach Ministry

Our Church has three outreach Ministries. Since 2005 a Ministry was set up at what was formerly called LeisureWorld Long Term Care Facility. It is now known as Woodbridge Vista. Services are held there once per month on the fourth Sunday of each month at 2.00 p.m..

Our second Ministry is at Kipling Acres Long Term Care facility. These services are held on the 2 nd Sunday of each month at 2.0 p.m., and The third one is at Revera Long Term Care Facility. This one is held on a Friday morning (the Fridays differ from month to month) at 10.15 a.m.

The services last for an hour and the residents really do appreciate our visits there whenever we go.

Men’s Ministry

I Corinthians 16 v 13-14Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

Our Men’s Ministry is a group of Christian men coming together as one to worship. We are encouraging fellowship and men coming together to share their journey with God. We plan to have many other events and as we have done in the past, invited men from other communities to partner with us. Getting to a place that allows men to share openly and more comfortably is one of our objectives.

The priority of our ministry is to spread the Good News to all and to provide an environment for our men to foster their faith with God and promote fellowship at the same time. The point of a Christian group such as this is to help rid the false beliefs many men have and draw all of them closer to Christ. Learning to know God is an integral part of this kind of ministry.
